As mentioned, I attended Dj Tiesto’s live performance in Copenhagen last weekend. The night turned out to be even better than what I had expected. I was there the entire night, dancing for six hours nonstop. He was playing all the tracks from his new cd, “Elements of Life”, plus a bunch of other cool tracks. Actually I was close to leave the place after four hours since I was getting a bit tired. It was at this very moment he started playing Delerium – Silence (Dj Tiesto Remix) .I got my energy back immediately, and I was ready for another two hours. The entire show was an extraordinary experience. If you enjoy his music, I really recommend you to attend one of his live performances. I am certain you won’t regret it. You might also want to check out the “in Search Of Sunrise” cd’s. These are my favorite cd’s from Tiesto.

My Photo Gallery

I have actually thought about getting a photo gallery for a long time. However, the digital camera I had, stopped working, and I forgot about the entire thing. Recently my girlfriend bought a new one, and once again, I was hooked on getting my gallery. So I finally decided to set one up. I started browsing the internet for a cool and easy wordpress gallery plug-in. Finding a gallery plug-in is not a problem at all. But finding one which works the way I wanted it to, was a tough job. After a lot of searching, I finally found the Lightbox 2 plugin which allows you to present images in a slick window, while darkening the rest of the page. I decided to use this one, and do my best to set up the gallery without using any more plugins. So far I have only added a few pictures. Check it out here, and let me know what you think.
How to:
Download the Lightbox 2 plugin, and move it to your wordpress plugin folder. Activate it in the WP control panel. Add rel=”lightbox” to your thumbnail image’s href tag. That it. You are done. Although I don’t like to work in the wordpress visual editor, I found it to be a lot easier when working with pictures like this. Throw a comment if you have any questions.
Tiësto Live In Copenhagen

In less than two weeks, I am going to watch DJ Tiësto live in Copenhagen. Luckily he is coming here, as a part of his world tour. I have been a loyal fan of Tiësto for many years. Needless to say, that watching him perform live, is a truly magnificent experience. I have already had the pleasure of watching him live at Amnesia on Ibiza some years ago. He is definitely my very favorite DJ. Here is a short clip from his performance at Roskilde 2007. Although the sound isn’t perfect, it should give you a rather good idea of how it is to be there.
If this caught your attention, you might want to go downtown and buy his latest album elements of Life. If you enjoy trance music, this album is one you need in your collection. One of his latest releases is a remix of Justin Timberlake’s song lovestoned. This is one of my favorite tracks at the moment. If you have any chance to attend his world tour, you should do so! I am sure you won’t regret it. I will give you all an update when I have been there.
Do-Follow Spammers

Some time ago I changed the comments on this blog, from No-Follow to Do-Follow. The effect of this has been very positive. The amount of comments has definitely increased, and so have the number of visitors. This is rather obviously, since people are desperate to get inbound links. There are several bloggers who have made huge lists, of blogs which has allowed do-follow comments. Now this makes me wonder which kind of visitors I get here. Surely, a lot of the people commenting in here are doing so, because they have an opinion which they want to share. But there are also a lot of spammers, who write short comments like “Thanks for sharing”, although I have not shared anything besides my own opinion about a subject. When I click their link, I am taken to some affiliate sales page or Made For AdSense site. This is really annoying. When I started blogging, spammers were easily caught by spam filters, because the comments usually were stuffed with links, thus easy to identify. But this is different, and can’t be caught by Akismet.
Since the amount of visitors I get, is rather limited, there is no problem in handling this manually. But for the bloggers who think of this as a problem, it might be an idea to make a comment policy for the people making comments on your blog. I think this might be one of the best ways to get around this problem. Simply write a few statements to make people aware, that you will not accept ULR’s linking to MFA or affiliate pages, comments which add no value to the discussion, etc. Although you still have to go thru the comments manually, I am sure this will work in the long run. If spammers are told, comments will not be published (or deleted) if they do not obey the following rules, they might think a second time before they spam your blog. Not because they want to follow your rules, but because they don’t want to spend their valuable time doing something which has no effect. Spammers will go somewhere else, where they know that any comments will be published. And the ones who actually do want to contribute to an interesting discussion, might spend a few seconds more to write some well considered thoughts.
Ad Spots And BlogRush

As you can see, I have now added a new widget to my sidebar. First of all, I have changed my two ad spots. Since they haven’t been sold, I decided to use them as free links, for the time being. The first spot goes to Daniel from Marketfederation. He has been an active visitor here at my blog, helping me out with inbound links, and most importantly, he runs a very cool blog. The Second spot is linking to Louis from Blogging Secrets, since he suggested a link exchange. I look forward to see how this works out. Now back to the BlogRush. As you can see, below the ad spots, there is a new widget, which is called the BlogRush. John Reese is the creator of this viral marketing widget, which, according to John, can boost your traffic. Since this is still fairly new, I will not give my own opinion about this yet. But I will try it for a period, and let you all know how it works out. The system does look pretty neat. Check it out, here.
