My Photo Gallery

I have actually thought about getting a photo gallery for a long time. However, the digital camera I had, stopped working, and I forgot about the entire thing. Recently my girlfriend bought a new one, and once again, I was hooked on getting my gallery. So I finally decided to set one up. I started browsing the internet for a cool and easy wordpress gallery plug-in. Finding a gallery plug-in is not a problem at all. But finding one which works the way I wanted it to, was a tough job. After a lot of searching, I finally found the Lightbox 2 plugin which allows you to present images in a slick window, while darkening the rest of the page. I decided to use this one, and do my best to set up the gallery without using any more plugins. So far I have only added a few pictures. Check it out here, and let me know what you think.
How to:
Download the Lightbox 2 plugin, and move it to your wordpress plugin folder. Activate it in the WP control panel. Add rel=”lightbox” to your thumbnail image’s href tag. That it. You are done. Although I don’t like to work in the wordpress visual editor, I found it to be a lot easier when working with pictures like this. Throw a comment if you have any questions.

I have been using lightbox2 plugin for about 6 months. I can clarify your comments, its an interesting plugin to use.
Wordpress must have some decent gallery options as large as it it with bloggers online. If in doubt just use flikr.
i like to keep my photo at flickers. its easy and i think its user friendly.
Thanks for the referrence. I downloaded and installed the plugin a couple of days ago. And its a lot easier to access my galleries through it. Thanks, Andy
Lightbox 2 is not bad. Your pictures are great though! Those are some really good sunset pics! You should start posting up some more!
have to check out the plugin. I kept all my snaps in flicks. Its easy to share
Lightbox 2.5 plugin works fine with IE and Firefox but it can be pretty buggy with safari. Granted, a much smaller percentage of people use this browser, but it would be nice if they could sort out the bugs all get it working perfectly with all browsers.
We are using the thickbox through the nexgen gallery plugin. I also heard that gallery has a plugin for wordpress now too.
