According to Wikipedia this is the definition of Midas:
In Greek mythology, Midas (in Greek, Μιδας, often referred as King Midas) is popularly remembered for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold: the “Midas touch”.
Midas is also the name of a new blog, created by my good friend Søren. I met Søren when I started at Copenhagen Business School. He is a cool, down-to-earth, kind of guy, and he is on his way to build a great blog, about investments. This is one hell of a niche blog, and you can be sure he knows what he is talking about. I have been looking a bit into Forex before, but like 90% of everyone who does, I stopped it after a few days. Talking to Søren about this, and reading his blog, made me change my mind. This is extremely interesting, and specially when talking to someone who knows what he is doing. I have decided to start out carefully, with a demo account, and follow some of his advices, to see if this can be profitable in the long run. If you are into daytrading, forex, or any other kind of investing, be sure to follow his blog. The only downside of it all is that Søren just went to study abroad in Vienna for half a year. Although he promised me to keep the blog updated, I know from personal experience that studying abroad is hard work! There are a lot of beers to drink, and just as many hangovers to cure. But I am certain he will do his best to keep us updated. Go and check it out.

I also had an account on Forex and have tried different techiques over time. It’s true that I didn’t spent years on this, but I gained some experience. And nothing more. Meaning, I lost all my money, but hey, I do have some experience. So what? What can I do with it? Well, I could invest again, but I have other plans for the moment.
What I want to say is that you have to be sure about this. You know you have to spend a lot of time reading about the Forex market, business news, etc. Do you think it’s worth it? Maybe it does. But let me tell you something: have you seen the “First $20 Million Is Always the Hardest” movie? Well, it’s about some guy which was a successfull businessman. He was everything anyone would want to be. But at some point, he said to himself “why does it have to be like this?”. And everything changed. He started a new business, which made him earn even more. But it wasn’t about the money. Interested? Just watch the movie…
en, a new blog system. But I like the wordpress blog most.
Matrimoniale,
I don’t know if it is worth it. Hopefully I will find out. I have decided not to use a real account before I have done a lot of practice. Since I find this topic rather interesting, I think that it is worth it, no matter what. The experience and knowledge about this has a value as well.
I have not seen the movie you mentioned, but I have added it to my list :) I will let you know what I think, when I have watched it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I have seen his blog and the articles he posted are very helpful to those in the business. Global market, Asian economies, investment trusts, etc.. Read all his posts. They are all very informational and worth your time.
