In Case of Emergency

A few days ago, I received an email with info about a program called ICE. And what is this exactly? An idea conceived by a guy named Bob Brotchie, back in 2005. Basically the idea is to make it easier for paramedics, firefighters, police officers, etc. to identify injured persons closest relatives in order to obtain important medical information. Nowadays everyone is carrying a cell phone which holds a lot of contact information. However, it is almost impossible for anyone besides the owner of the phone, to tell which contacts are close relatives. This is where the ICE program makes a difference. The idea is to write ICE (In Case of Emergency) before or after the names on your next of kin in your address book. This is a small and easy thing to change, it doesn’t cost anything, and it can make a huge difference in a very crucial moment. So why don’t you go and change it right away. Put ICE in front of the name of your closest relatives on your cell phone, and write a small post about it on your blog to spread the message.
