How To Remove Ads From Messenger

Before MSN Messenger was released, I was using ICQ and it worked great. However, I didn’t take long before they started to load the program with lots of ads. A few weeks later, Microsoft released MSN Messenger. Back then, messenger was actually pretty smooth and cool. But it was only a matter of time, before Microsoft went the same way as the creators of ICQ. Today, messenger is stuffed with annoying advertisement and superfluous boxes. Luckily there is an easy way to change this. Go to A-Patch and download the A-Patch file. Unzip it, and run it. Be sure to shut down your messenger before running the program. Now you have all the options you need to fully customize the entire look of you msn messenger. The entire process is done in less than 5 minutes, and it works perfectly.

    Perro,
Well since I am not using AIM I have not looked for one. But a good alternative is Miranda IM. A simple programs, without any ads. You can import your contacts from ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, etc. Simple and cool.

    Barry Cox,
    No Problem :)

This is pretty neat, but I am somewhat skeptical about installing 3rd party software. Call me paranoid, but Ill rather just get ad blindness, that mess with my messenger
