How To Make a Favicon

As you can see in the address bar, JakobDK now has a Favicon. Even though it might be a bit difficult to see, it is supposed to look like the character J. It is not a major change, but it still makes my page a bit more unique. So how do you make your own Favicon?
Here goes: All you need is a small file called favicon.ico which should be uploaded to the main directory of your page.

Favicon

First you need to download this file, which enables you to save files in the .ico format. Grab it here and install it. Open Photoshop and design a logo which you want to use. Go to image size and reduce it to 16 * 16 pixels, which is the size of a Favicon. Make sure to activate Bicubic Sharper, as this will prevent the image from blurring. When you are satisfied with the result, save it as Favicon.ico. Upload this file to the main directory of your blog. That’s it. You should now be able to see the Favicon in the address bar, at your homepage, blog etc.
