Britney Spears should not be a new name to anyone. She has made, I don’t know how many albums so far. A lot of her songs have been remixed, and there are some really great ones among! Of all the remixes I have heard, my absolute favorite is “Everytime” remixed by The Scumfrog. The guy behind The Scumfrog is Jesse Houk. He has made several different tracks and remixes. You can read more about this on his homepage which you can find here.
Jess Houk´s remix of “Everytime” is an excellent track! Even though it is a couple of years old, I still listen to it all the time. It is a ten minutes long track in the Eletronic genre. Even though the track is a bit slow, I would still categorize the style as trance. I must admit that a ten minutes long track easily can be tiring. Specially when the variety is limited, which is exactly what it is, in this track! There are not really any breakdowns, buildups, or any other changes throughout the track. It just keeps going for ten minutes with the same steady beat and Britney’s vocals. However, I find the sounds of this track astonishing, which is why the length of the track does no harm! In fact I feel like listening to it for hours, when I get it started. This is definitely a great track! If you haven’t heard it before, you should go and listen to it now! You can find it on her single, “Britney Spears – Everytime”.

This is a short clip with Pablo Francisco. His imitations are amazing! I specially enjoy the Arnold Swarzenegger part.

Here is Frank Caliendo. Actually I was looking for another clip than this one. I have seen a clip with him, some months ago, which is way better than the one below. But this one still does the job.

This is my favorite clip. This clip is from the show Live On Broadway. I have the DVD with the entire show, and it is priceless! You won’t be bored for one second!

This clip is just a great as the first one, if not better. Although he is using some of the same lines, as in the first clip, it is still worth the time it takes to watch it.

This is another clip with Jerry Seinfeld. Once again, this is just as great as the first clip. Jerry is definitely my favorite. Check it out.

If you have been visiting JakobDK.com before, you can probably tell that I have been making a few changes to the design of this blog. I am still not done redesigning, and it will probably take a few more days before it will be finished. However, what I am mostly concerned about is the header imager. I can’t tell if I am satisfied or not. I keep changing my mind. So I will leave this up to you guys. You will have a chance to win the last 125*125 ad box in my sidebar, for one month. To win this contest, all you have to do, is add my site to your RSS reader, and make a comment with suggestions to my layout and possible changes which you find appropriate. In other words, you don’t need a blog to enter this contest. However, writing a blog post about this contest and linking to it will increase you chance of winning. The contest will end at the 28th of March. Make sure to write a valid email address in the comment field so I can contact you if you are the lucky winner. Good luck to all of you.

My blog has been looking pretty much the same ever since I started this page some twelve months ago. In the last few weeks, my template has been causing me a few problems, and so I decided it was about time to change the whole thing. So I spent a few hours, looking for a template which would fit my style. As you can see, I have finally decided. However, I am still working on the layout. I am not satisfied with the header image, and the sidebar. I am still working on it. So there will be a few more changes before the page is done. Hopefully I will be done within the next couple of days. The ad spaces in the sidebar can be bought for a fair price. Just drop a comment or send me an email if you are interested. If you have any suggestions for the layout please let me know.

Some time ago I changed the comments on my blog from No-Follow to Do-Follow. Actually it had the effect I wanted. I got more comments, more back links and more traffic. However, there was a lot of useless and stupid comments, plus a tremendous amount of affiliate links. I find it really annoying when someone is sharing some interesting points in a comment, and then in the link at the top of the comment, it says “Car-insurance.com”. Another factor is that my motivation for answering these comments is dropping. I think it is because I know that people only comment to get the link, and don’t really have an interest in the post. They only ask question to be polite, hoping this will result in an acceptance of their comment, so they will get their link. This is most likely the reason why I never get any negative criticism. So if anyone is wondering why I have not been answering any comments lately, this is why. Because of this, I have decided to remove the Do-Follow link from comments. Furthermore, comments with obvious affiliate links will not be accepted. Now you know. Post comments because you want to. This is not a link building place anymore. Do-Follow is hereby removed from this blog.

J. Scotty G. and Jason Blum are the two guys behind Deepsky. They have been into the music making business for some years now, and they have made a lot of great tracks. Talk like a Stranger is in my opinion, the very best track they have ever made. I have never had the same track as my top favorite for as long as this one. The first time I heard it, was back in the summer 2005. Ever since this day, I have kept playing this song over and over again. The original track is good, but nothing close to the remix from Markus Schulz. This 11 minutes long track makes me dream about sunsets, sandy beaches, and pure happiness. The genre is definitely Eletronic. However, I find it a bit more difficult to determine the style. It’s close to trance, but slightly slower than the average trance track. Yet it is still a bit to fast and techy to be categorized as a house track. I guess Tech House is a proper term for this track. Eleven minutes are, in most cases, way too long for any track. But for this track, it seems like it’s the perfect length. The beat is steady, and the vocals of Jes Brieden are tremendous. This is the sound of summer.

Actually I decided not to do any writings on my blog before I was back to Denmark. But since a few people has been questioning my absense (which made me warm inside), I decided to do a short post. I have been three weeks in India with my girlfriend and today we just arrived in Thailand and we are staying here for three more week. The time we spent in India has been crazy. It´s a long story, which will be posted here when I get back home. Hopefully the last three weeks here in Thailand will be more relaxing. I will give a detailed storry, when I am back home. Now I will go back to the bar and enjoy my cheap Chang beer. Stay tuned…

Until now my reviews have been somewhat limited to websites and music. So here is to my second review of a book, this time about magic. “Totally Out Of Control” is a book about close-up magic, written by the magician Chris Kenner. On the very first page, there is an introduction by the famous magician David Copperfield. The entire book is filled up with 30 close-up effects, mainly cards and coins effects. The book has a cool layout, with detailed drawings. The content is written in an easy way and is packed with jokes and funny comments. Every single effect is well thought through, and will be very useful in most close-up acts. The main reason why I bought the book was an effect called “The 5 Faces of Sybil”. A friend showed me this trick some years ago, and this is by far one of the best tricks I have ever seen. Sybil itself is not a trick but more something like a complex cut, or as Chris states it: a quick cut flourish to demonstrate skill and dexterity. When this cut is done correctly it looks amazing, and it will definitely make people aware of your slight-of-hands skills. However, this is not something which is mastered over night. Anyway, Sybil (the trick) is much more than just a cool flourish. Chris describes the effect like this:

A deck is shuffled and four cards, prediction cards, are removed from the pack, their identity unknown to the audience. A card is selected, for example the ten of hearts, and returned. A number from ten to twenty is announced by a member of the gallery. Let’s say the number is seventeen. One swift multiple cut (five faces of Sybil) produces a small packet, it is found that is contains exactly seventeen cards. A murmur emanates from the gallery. The small packet is turned face up, revealing the ten of hearts on the face. The crowd begins to applaud. Magic Man quickly gestures for silence. The four prediction cards are revealed. Their numerical values are added and the resultant sum is exactly seventeen.

The effect looks exactly as described above. This amazing effect mixed with the just as cool looking cut makes this one of my very favorite tricks. In my opinion, this effect is well worth the price of the entire book. However, the rest of book is packed with a lot of other great tricks as well. One thing worth mentioning is that this book is not for the newbies in close-up magic. There is no explanation on basic slights, so if you are new in this field, you will have a difficult time getting through the book. Even with experience, these effects still require a lot of practice. But once you get it right, you will have an entire book full of amazing and powerful effects. Check out ITricks for more reviews. If you have no idea what magic is all about, you should go and read this post: 10 Steps To Become a Magician

Since Google bought YouTube, it is not surprising they are looking for different ways to make money from it. As I was reading Indside AdSense I stumbled upon this article. Video Units is Google’s new offer for advertisers. I must admit that AdSense seems to be less and less effective, probably because of Ad blindness. Needless to say, it would be really nice to work with something new. However, I am not sure Video units are what I am looking for. The reason I really like AdSense, is because of its simplicity. Video Units seems to be the exact opposite. According to Google, a video unit will display two ads:

• Text overlay ads, which are displayed in the bottom 20% of the video as it plays
• Companion ads, which appear above the video content within the player

My first thought was, that this will require too much space. Obviously you will not be able to modify the ad size in the same way as the normal AdSense ads, since the video needs to be viewable. Furthermore, I feel like the simplicity is gone. Mixing video and ads is too much, specially when 20% of the video is covered by it. Maybe it turns out I am all wrong. But I won’t be able to tell you before it is released in Europe. I will definitely give it a shot, when possible. If anyone has tried it, please let me know what you think of it.

If you are looking for places to pick up some useful lessons about stock trading, this post might help. No, I am not the one giving lessons, but there are other bloggers how does. As you can see, I have changed one of my sidebar ads. Stock Trading To Go is one of my favorite blog, which I visit daily. Blain is doing a great job, writing a lot of useful information. The blog is updated daily, and no matter if you are a newbie or a pro, this page has something for you. Although it shouldn’t matter, the blog has a really cool design. This aspect often seems to be low prioritized, by bloggers writing about personal finance, stocks, forex, etc. I guess they are busy, taking care of money. If you want to learn more about stock trading, this blog should have a fixed spot in your FeedReader.
